Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The lump is most likely a Cyst (localized collection of secretions), a Lymph Node (indicating an infection), a Lipoma (localized collection of fat) or a growth. It is apparently compressing the sensory nerve which supplies the part of the site where you have severe pain.

Removal of the lump will relieve the pressure on the concerned nerve and ease the immediately.

Consult a surgeon, who will examine the lump to assess its nature and remove it surgically.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Take care
