What Could The Bump Above The Knee Be?

I just recently noticed a small bump just above my knee (about 2cm in diameter), which may have been caused by cycling, that looks like a protruding vein (but it s ball-like in shape). There is no swelling around me knee and no pain even when touching the enlarged bump. What could this be and am I still able to exercise?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

What I feel with the history is there is nothing to worry with the bump or lump as there is no indication of pain or swelling around the joint. Just ignore it because it is not interfering with your activities of daily living and FADL.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
