What Damage Do Predbusibe And Diclofenax To Liver?

Hello. My name is Cheryl and I experienced an injury walking/running a 5K on April 5th of this year. I went to the doctor after 8 weeks of continued pain (had been receiving EMS treatments, massage, heat/ice up to that point). He prescribed a course of Predbusibe and something called Diclofenax (sp?). I took that for 5 days and while I was on it, the pain was gone. As soon as I was off, the pain returned. I ve been in physical therapy since June 10th (about 2X/week) and a week ago, I finished a MEDROL pack. I had been taking Motrin and Alleve up to that point. I am concerned about the potential damage to kidneys and liver from all these meds. I drink lots of water and having been taking a Shaklee Liver Detox supplement, as well as lots of Alfalfa tabs (arthritis, stomach upset) and so far, all seems O.K. I have been trying not to take anything for this pain until I just can t stand it, and then I ll take 200mg of Motrin and 1 Alleve. Should I be concerned about all the drugs I ve been taking for the last 4 months? I m not one to take this stuff (only holistic remedies) but am also on Losarthan, Singulair and Mimvey. I also SIT in front of a computer all day, which I know, isn t helping. I do get up and walk around several times a day, but can t walk for very long, because of the pain in my hip and lower back.

Hi,
Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-:
1)First try to know the root cause of pain,if that root is found it will be eradicated permanently.
2)Every painkiller has its side effect on liver so prolonged day use is not recommended at all.So do liver function test first(SGPT,SGOT,Alkaline phosphates, total protein, albumin)
3)Do an MRI scan and send its report i will tell you which surgical procedure is good for you.
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks,
I find this answer helpful
