What Delays The Nail Bed From Healing Post A Toenail Removal?

I had a big toe nail removed before Christmas in 2015. I ve taken antibiotic for 3 weeks & it still won t heal. I take met formen as I am a border line diabetic. I have soaked in Epson salt, & the Amoxix clav 875-125mg that the doctor put me on this time is making me nausa at my stomach & itching all over. Do you have any suggestion of what I can do to get it to heal?

Diabetes can affect the immune system and impair healing. If you keep your blood sugars under tight control , this would improve the chances of healing occurring.

The nausea and itching with the antibiotic may mean that you are allergic to it so it should be discontinued and another one used instead.
You should speak to your doctor about this.

An alternative antibiotic may work better for you.
