What Diet Can Be Given To A Child Suffering From Chest Infection?

My two year old has had a chest infection. He is better now, no fever for two days. But he is refusing to eat. Since Thursday, I have managed to convince him to eat very little: half a pot of yoghurt, a spoonful of rice etc. Today he ate a tiny bit of bread roll and a pot of yoghurt. That was it. I'm starting to get very concerned. This is the fifth day. He is drinking fine.

In my opinion, post chest infection recovery in two year old, you should not give yogurt esp at night..This diet is more prone to catch infections..As per Ayurveda its prohibited to be given in such conditions.

If he can be given soups of leafy vegetables, grams and meat etc, it would be better.

If you can arrange some herbal liquids can be given which will support his appetite and growth and would supplement the food deficiency. Liquids like ARVINDASAV are esp. designed for all children.

If you agree, pl consult for further information through direct premium question.
