My dad was recently diagnosed with IBS. His problems include gas, constipation, pain in the left side of the abdomen, weight loss and depression. although the doctors have prescribed medicines, i was wondering if you could help with the diet plan?

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

Some advice that I can give you are:

1) Eat smaller meals more often instead of big meals.
2) Add more fiber to the diet with foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nuts.
3) Drink at least three to four glasses of water per day.
4) Limit milk or cheese.
5) Limit caffeine.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other questions, Ill be glad to help.

Thank you for the query.

Take care
