What Diet Should Be Taken For The Typhoid Fever?
Hi Doc,
I had typhoid detected on 7th of Jan. '14, after one a nd half days of high fever. I took anti biotics in form of injections as suggested by my doctor who is a physian(MD). I was good by 15th of Jan, as started eating normal food like chapati, rice, daal and vegetables cooked in oil as my doctor said I had taken good injection treatment, followed by anti biotics dose of 5 days as well. But as of now since 20th of Jan, I have started to get very mild fevers which I haven't had got since 12th of Jan, i. e. after completion of my medicines. Please, suggest me diet as well as medicines as it is almost 15 days since my treatment. Should, I even not worry about the recurring of the disease? Thank You

The second rise of fever might not necessarily due to a recurrence of the typhoid fever even though there is a possibility. If I were your doctor, I would wait and watch. The fever might go away of its own. Otherwise I would advise you for a complete blood test (fever profile) for fever. Your diet should not be spicy and oily for the present. For fever, presently you could go for simple paracetamol tablet if need be.
