What Diet Would Help Loose 10 Kilos In 1.5 Month In A 13 Yr Old Weighing 60 Kgs?

Hi doctor I have a problem I am 13 years old 150sm and 60killos.I am too fat according to my age and my height all I want from you is a great diet to loose at least 10killos in a month and 15 days cause its so urgent I dont have time please help me please.

Hello and Welcome to HCM,
I had gone through the case and i will advise you that first know the cause of obesity.It is due to any medical complaint like hypothyroidism or due to bad life style.

Please go for thyroid profile to get conformation about thyroid,if it is normal then start the diet what i suggest you, do exercise for 20minute daily.

Avoid refined products like bakery,fast foods,biscuits,bread and fried food,Rice,rice flakes.

Take maximum fruits and salad daily, oats/museli/sprouts with 150 ml milk without sugar and 10 night soaked almond in breakfast, pulses/fish/egg
Definitely you will loose the weight after following this diet plan.Hope my answer will be effective for you.

Hello dear,

First of all, please do not make hurry in losing weight.
The human body functions according to its metabolic rate & any measure taken to hasten it can cause severe side effects.

For effective weight control, equal importance should be given to both diet & exercise.
So, a low calorie low fat diet and regular exercise should be followed such as:

1. Avoid eating white breads, rice and pasta. They have high calories and increases the blood sugar level.
2. It is better to have complex carbohydrates such as whole wheat bread, oatmeal and brown rice.
3. Consume low fat versions of milk and cheese and avoid oily foods.
4. Have a diet rich in low calorie protein foods such as egg whites, skinless chicken, fish, etc.
5. It is better to avoid soft drinks and fruit juices which are rich in calories.
Instead, drink large amount of water (about 6 to 8 glasses) throughout the day.
6. Dietary fiber such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and nuts can also be included in the diet.

If you still find any difficulty, kindly get certain investigations like estimation of blood pressure & blood sugar levels, Thyroid profile & Lipid profile to rule out any pathological cause.
