What Do I Look For To See Achilles Tears?

I recently had an MRI of my ankle 21 weeks after intrarticular fractures in both right and left calcaneus. I am looking at the pictures and notice many bright white areas on the pictures. These are areas that are not bone. What do I look for to see Achilles tears?

I have studied your case and I can understand your concern that you want to diagnose your problems but It is not easy. As MRI is a very detailed investigation so it is not possible for a common person to read this report. If you want than you can share that report with me. I will try my best to help you.
White bright areas are usually fluid collection and so it is common in any injury. Usually calcaneus fracture are not associated with achillis tear and so you can be relax about that. Best test to diagnose this tear is a ultrasound examination.
thanks.
