What Do Chills In An Infant Indicate?

My daughter adopted a baby that was born to a drug mother. The baby was declared clean at her 1 month check up. She just turned 1 this month but the last 2 or 3 months she has been having episodes where she acts likes she has a cold chill running through her body...mostly her upper body. Is this normal or should we discuss this with her pediatrician? I don t want to interfere or be controlling, I m just concerned

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be a type of seizure or just a Jitteriness or it could be tics.
I suggest that you get her examined by her paediatrician. But it would be extremely helpful if you can take a video and show it to him as the neurological might be normal also.

Best Regards
