What Do Dull And Aching Pain In The Left Abdominal Area Indicate?

I have been having some bad stabbing, dull, aching pain in my lower left abdomen area. Thought it could be my overy. Had a ultra sound done last week and my doctor says everything looked ok. On the report it says I have a 1.6 cm cyst on my left overy and several nabothian cysts in my cervix. I m wondering if that could be what is causing me all this pain. He says its not big enough to give me pain. Needing some answers before I find another doctor. Thank you. Sheryl

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be many things, e.g. bladder infection, constipation, diverticular disease. I suggest referral to a sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query.
