What Do Lumps In The Lower Jaw Indicate?

I felt small lumps on both mandible areas, sometimes disappeared, sometimes I felt them by palpation on both left and right sides of the upper neck, not lower neck. Are these lumps abnormal? Should I go to check MD? NO s/s of pain, no problems with swelling, no problems with swallowing either. Thanks.

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Swollen salivary glands under the jaw may be caused by infection.
Lumps in the skin or just below the skin are often caused by cysts, such as sebaceous cysts.
Anyway to confirm the diagnose you should see a dermatologist.
Mean while some advices that I can give to you are :
-Don't squeeze the lump
-Apply warm, wet cloths to the painful lump for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day.
