What Do Pain And Itching On The Chest Indicate?

I have itching and painful skin. It started several months ago on my chest under my sports bra. I got some cream from the dermatologist and it helped a little. No it is on my neck into my scalp, my ribs and hips. I find myself scratching til I bleed.

Hello,

It seems you have developed a fungal infection. It can be due to excessive sweating or contaminated water. You have not mentioned whether your doctor prescribed an antifungal cream. You have to take an oral antifungal course like tablet Fluconazole once weekly for at least three months. You will also have to apply an antifungal cream like Miconazole locally for faster relief. Try to keep the area dry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman
