What Do Sore Breasts And Irregular Period Indicate?

I have irregular Periods. My last was in November of 2013. I took a pregnacy test in January and it was negative. Also, I started a medication from my OBGyn in January this year to help get my period back on track. I dont have the meds. with me at the time but it starts with a the letter M. She asked to see me back in the office after meds are complete. Due to extremely sore breast and no period. Can you please explain?

Hello madam, your history is incomplete, you did not mention about your age, wheather your initial periods are regular and now they turned out to be irregular?Irregular periods can be due to many causes apart from pregnancy . Sometimes stress delays periods. Polycystic ovarian syndrome and thyroid also cause irregular cycles. You may be prescribed meprate for withdrawal bleeding . Sometimes premenustral symptoms may present with sore breast. I would suggest you to waite for the withdrawal bleeding.In case bleeding does not come even after the medication, then you may have to consult your gynaecologist. Hope i was helpful to you.
