What Do Swelling And Pain In The Shoulders And Ankles Indicate?
hello my friend is having joint swelling and pains seems to be moving from shoulder, joints, swelling in ankles hands, back etc. when she has the pain one area it is severe, gets better goes different area. strange! she 55yrs old, works, recently she gained weight
I am sorry for the problems your friend is having.
Her symptoms of fluctuating joint swelling and pain are suggestive of arthritis attack. She should see a rheumatologist as soon as possible.
Blood tests recommended to evaluate her health problems: - complete blood count - CRP - rheumatoid arhritis factor - antistreptolysins - x-ray of the joint
Until she consults with the doctor, she should apply cold compresses locally (on the joints); take oral anti-inflammatory meds found over the counter (ibuprofen, naproxen) and apply anti-inflammatory cream locally (on the joints).
Wish fast recovery.
