What Do The Findings In The Nasal Examination Imply?

I was diagnosed with the following...

Turbinate swelling and mucus bridging attenuate the nasal cavity at the time of the exam. Polypoid soft tissue density

fills much of the left maxillary sinus. This probably reflects volume averaging with two adjacent retention cysts. There is

also moderate mucosal disease involving this left maxillary sinus as well as mild mucosal thickening involving the left

sphenoid sinus and minimal mucosal disease in the right sphenoid and maxillary sinuses.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Your nasal examination findings are suggestive of Nasal polyps involving maxillary and sphenoid sinus. Could be a manifestation of allergy.
Intra nasal corticosteroids spray can result in shrink in polyp size or even eliminate them.
Antihistamines may help to reduce allergic manifestation.
Biopsy required in persistent condition to rule out cancerous changes.
Endoscopic removal of polyp required in conditions not responding to medical line of management.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
