What Do Tiny Skin Eruptions On The Scalp And Body Indicate?

I have had for over a year a scalp and all over my body tiny eruptions and at times can feel like something is boring into my skin. I thought it was a remains of a type of microscopic worm...larva migrans left over from a hook worm possibly from my symptoms. Physicians cannot understand and help me with this. I guess I don t explain everything related to what is going on but it seems that these travelling infection producing organisms just won t die off and leave me. Fecal examinations have not detected anything. I apply dial soap or peroxide to each small skin eruptions which does bring out a whitish infection. These eruptions happen all over my body and if I did not fight them off...especially on my scalp, I honestly believe I would have been very ill by now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Skin eruptions in the scalp & body are most likely to be Scabies. Apply (in the scalp & body) Ascabiol lotion after having a bath, leave it for 40 -50 minutes & then take a shower with warm water.

Repeat this after 15-20 days. The infection should go away. Since scabies is contagious do not share your toiletries & clothes with anyone. Take care of your hygiene.

Commonly clogged pores trigger ringworms & other fungal infections in the scalp. Fluconazole or Griseovulvin are effective. Shampoo containing Ketoconazole effectively reduces the symptoms.

You are suggested to visit a dermatologist & get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
