Hello and welcome to HCM,

I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.

I am sorry for the treatment that you met. It is unfortunate. It teaches me to be more patient. If you went to the ER it is OK. You felt the need to go and went. ER are designed to help us if we feel things are not alright and cannot go to our consultants. You did not do anything wrong. But sometimes we doctors tend to take things at a personal level. So we treat our patients as our responsibility and want the best for them. If things go wrong, it is frustrating for us too. So please forgive her. Maybe she had a lot of concern and wanted your best.

Also if you are not comfortable with your doctor or with the treatment, try another doctor. Be very open in discussing your condition and treatment and also of its effects with your doctor to get the best results.
Unfortunately every treatment has some adverse effects linked to it. Sometimes they flare up sometimes they are mild and tolerable. If you have recovered, all is well, just remember to inform your doctor that you experienced a reaction with this drug and not take it again.
You may try other drugs if endometriosis is suspected like OC pills, danazole, or progestogens. The diagnosis can be confirmed by a laparoscopy and the endometrial implants can be destroyed laparoscopically.
Discuss all these with your treating doctor and you will be fine.

Hope I was able to help you.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
