Hi,
I am here with trying to explain the terminologies in simple understandable words.
- CAD: (Coronary Artery Disease) blockages in blood vessels of heart (coronary arteries)
- BMS: (Bare Metal Stent) stent used at the site of blockage for restoring blood flow.
- RCA: (Right Coronary Artery) one of the main artery of heart supplying blood to conducting system, inferior (lower) wall main chamber (left ventricle) of heart.
- BMS of RCA: Bare metal stent of right coronary artery.
- Left Ventricle: Left lower chamber of heart which is considered as main chamber of heart as it pumps blood in to aorta (big blood vessel originating from heart supplying blood to whole body).
- Systole: contraction of heart chamber.
- Left Ventricle Systolic Dysfunction: It means decreased pumping of left ventricle or decreased blood volume that is pumped in to aorta from left ventricle.
- Old Inferior Myocardial Infarction: Old heart attack involving inferior (lower) wall of left ventricle.
- Hyperlipidemia: Increased blood level of different types of cholesterol.
- BUN: Blood Urea Nitrogen.
- Creat: Creatinine.
- Electrolytes : It include Sodium, Potassium, Chlorides.
- BUN, Creatinine, Electrolytes together represent Kidney function.
