Hello and welcome to HCM,
Monocytes are a type of white blood cells and they are increased in chronic infections like malaria,
leishmaniasis, viral infections, etc.
Is there history of such infection?
If yes, then you need to consult your doctor for clinical assessment and prescription of medication.
The platelet parameters are deranged.
A low
platelet count, high platelet distribution width (PDW), and low plaletocrit suggest that there in
platelet depression.
Less number of platelets are produced by the
bone marrow.
And the platelets which are produced are of variable sizes.
Decreased platelet counts are seen in viral infections, malaria, idiopathic
thrombocytopenic purpura, etc.
Again you need to consult your doctor to find out the cause of low platelet counts.
Thanks and take care
