What Does Renal Mass Protocol From Urine Analysis Suggest?
Hi, I have recently been undergoing tests due to blood found in urine at my last Doctor s visit. I was referred to a urologist and he prescribed a series of 3 urine samples over the past 3 weeks. Today, I met with the urologist and he said that there was evidence of red blood cells in 2 of the 3 samples. He said that I should have a ct scan and wrote a prescription for renal mass protocol . When I read that , I got really frightened. Can you tell me how serious this is?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have blood in urine so you may have some kidney mass, stone or other pathology in kidney or urinary tract. No need to go for ct scan directly. You should go for ultrasound study of kidney, ureter and bladder( USG KUB). It will clear all doubts. Then if needed go for ct scan and other investigations according to need. Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
