What Does X Ray Report Which Shows Straightening Of Lumbar Lordosis Indicate?

Hi,
I recently suffered from some little pain in my lower back with some not normal feeling in my left leg, I made an x- ray and the comment in the report is as follows:
1-Straightening of lumbar lordosis , suggesting back muscle spasm
2-Narrowed L4/L5 and to a lesser extent to L3/L4 disc spaces
3-Mild dorsolumbar spondylotic changes are noted
4-Sacroiliac joints show faint periarticular sclerosis suggesting bilateral early sacroiliitis

Hello

Report suggests degenerative disc disease of dorso-lumbar spine.
1.There is straightening of lumbar lordosis,it may be due to spasm of paraspinal muscles.
2.There is narrowing of intervertebral disc in between L4-5 vertebra. There is also mild narrowing of L3-4 disc space.
3.There is mild spondylotic changes in dorsolumbar spine.
4.There are also bilateral early sacroiliitis. It is important to exclude other findings of arthritis.

Majority of the cases of early degenerative spine disease are managed by physiotherapy, analgesics and muscle relaxants. You should consult your doctor.

Get well soon.
Take Care
