What Does A Boil On The Temple Indicate?

I ve developed a boil on my temple, thought initially was a lump but last to days coming to a head. I had rather intensive cataract surgury 2 weeks ago opposite eye, should I go in and have it lanced before my second postop. Or let it just come to a head and drain naturally. Have a gauze pad soaked in witch hazel taped over it. Concern if it s dangerous to my newly operated eye with it probably being a staff infection.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Since you have got cataract surgery done about 2 weeks back, it is better to get that boil properly drained, cleaned and dressed. So my suggestion is to visit the doctor or ER as the case may be. It is unlikely to have any effect on the eye, still better to take precaution. If advised do take a course of suitable antibiotic to prevent further occurrence. Thanks
