What Does A Bump On The Scalp Indicate?

I woke up this morning and as I was running my hand through my hair I noticed a bump on the mid-right of my scalp, about an inch away from my forehead (About the size of a small grape). I haven't hit my head on anything. The bump itself does not hurt but it is a space directly in front of it which is very painful to the touch. Today, I've noticed a lack of my normal depth perception and my ears feelings as if they are filled with pressure. What could this be?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

There is no relation between the bump and your ears block. Ears block may be due to upper respiratory tract infection or eustachian tube block or middle ear infection. Bump may be small dermoid cyst or lipoma or abscess.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use tablet Sinarest twice a day for five days. Water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician) ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
