What Does A Dull Pain In The Lower Abdominal Area Indicate?

I have had a dull pain in the lower right abdomen for 5 days and now has moved to under my rib cage. The pain is now sharp gas pains and constant salivating. It feels like a constant building of gas no matter how much I burp. It is so painful..... no OTC antacid seems to help.

Hello,

The symptoms are more likely suggestive of gastritis related pain. You can take drugs like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
