What Does A Hard Lump In The Back Of A Child Indicate?

Hi, I found a hard, pea-sized lump in the back of my two year old daughter s neck this evening. The lump is immovable. It is just below the hairline and is near the lymph nodes, but I can t say for sure that it is lymph node. I asked her if it hurt when I pressed on it and she said yes. What could be causing it?

the description given by you seem to be a lymph node only.
you really need not worry about it as long as its not tender and not increasing in size and there are no other problems associated with it.
just wait and watch , it will disapper with time.
