What Does A Hard Lump Next To The Eye Indicate?

My 3 yr old has a hard lump next to the corner of his eye towards his nose.. It s been there since October and has gotten a little bit bigger. I am scared what it is even though my pediatrician says it probably nothing. Derm said they d cut it out, but he s only 3 and I worry about infection or nerve damage.

Pediatrician 's  Response
its probably a dermoid cyst or a lacrimal cyst,if its getting bigger causing cosmetic issues then u could just get it removed, there is no fear of nerve damage as there are no superficial nerves in that area, infection your surgeon will take care of it..
