What Does A Headache After A Head Injury Indicate?
Hi, I bumped the front of my head yesterdayon a door hook. It didn't hurt too much at the time and there is no real swelling. However I have had a headache since then at the back of my head. It felt a bit better this morning but is now back. Should I be worried or will it pass in a few days?
Postconcussive headaches are common following injury to the head of even a seemingly minor nature. They can take up to a week to appear and usually disappear with very little intervention except for conservative OTC types of medications taken judiciously such as aspirin and Tylenol. Sometimes they can be more complex and require more formal evaluation and care. Sounds like yours should get better and go away.
However, if they don't and you would like to send me more specific information in a private forum I would happy to help you: You can write to me at: bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi
