General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Since the swelling or a lump is outside of anal canal, this is unlikely to be due to hard scrubbing or hard stools.
This is also painless means the most probable causes are either a sebaceous cyst or lipoma.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a clinical evaluation done by a general surgeon to get a proper diagnosis so that further investigations like high resolution ultrasonography and of blood be done.
Get this excised if advised to as this will help in different ways.
Firstly you get rid of the swelling .
And secondly, you get a confirmed diagnosis by histopathology.
