What Does A Painful Spot On Back Of The Head Indicate?

My boyfriend told me that there's a spot on the back of his head, that when he touches it or even rubs up against it his head hurts and he gets nauseous. He doesn't want to go to the doctor's. It's been like this for 4 or 5 days now. Is it worth going to a doctor?
