What Does A Positive Pregnancy Result After Menstrual Bleeding Indicate?

Hi doc last aug 15 I got my mentruation and at the end of the month aug 31 I got menstruation again and after 1 week I take pregnancy test and it shows negative .and after 2weeks I take pregnancy test again and it s negative again .now oct 5 and 6 positive then I go to ob-gyne doctor said there s no baby but my pregnancytest result is positive . . Am I pregnat doc. .

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Pregnancy test could be positive in cases of ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts and trophoblastic tumor. It may be false positive result due to various other causes.
You need to get your blood tested for beta-HCG levels and get an ultrasound abdomen and pelvic scan done to know what could be the cause.
Kindly get it evaluated for the above conditions by means of appropriate investigations and consult Gynaecologist for the management accordingly.
