What Does A Rash With Blisters On The Right Shoulder Indicate?

My 87 year old aunt has a rash with blisters on her right shoulder, under her right arm, and over the right breast. It looks like Shingles to me. I have a doctor s appointment for her on Tuesday morning. Should I try to get her in tomorrow or should it be ok?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to shingles. There's no cure for shingles, but prompt treatment with prescription antiviral drugs can speed healing and reduce your risk of complications. These medications include Acyclovir. They can be also used as ointments for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
