What Does A Swollen, Painful Abdomen Along With Foamy And Watery Stools Indicate?

I am a 41 year old male, my stomach has been swollen since about 3 o'clock pm the evening of the 15th. I have constant pain, levels of pain varies, but at pains worse end its an 8 on a scale of 1-10, tender stomach sore to touch( if I push in on stomach), my stool was at first watery and hard, but for the last 12 hours my stool has just been watery. My stool has also been foamy looking, that concerns me a bit just because I have never seen it before. I at first thought it was gas, but I have been passing gas, been belching, and getting no relief and I didn't think it could last this long. When I set down it is painful, I have to slouch down in chair, i get comfort laying on my back but can not lay on my side.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You are suffering from gastrointestinal infection.
You need antibiotics for infection.
You can take combination tablet of ofloxacin and ornidazole twice daily for five days.
You should also take ORS solution and plenty of water.
If pain and symptoms doesn't subside then stool examination (routine and microscopic ) and ultrasound of abdomen should be done.
Treatment depends accordingly.
Get well soon.

Take Care
