Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 90 yr. old mother, who is in good health, noticed a small white scab on the side of her leg, mid-calf, about the size of a pencil eraser. There is a small dark outline around it. There is no swelling, no bump, does not hurt or itch. What could it be?
It may be actinic keratosis or venous ulcer etc.
Also possible that it may be due to skin malignancy.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
You may take him to dermatologist, he will examine and treat him accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
