What Does Abdominal Distention Indicate?

My husband abdomen is gettting bigger my concern his liver or kidney problem, but his denial he told he need to lose some wt. but the way I observed much bigger compared from his abdomen before. Do I need to take him to emergency to rule out his liver and kidney. He s 78 y/o had hx. of heart and lumbar surgery on 2015 and 2016.

Ya, definitely you should take him to the doctor to rule out an abdominal distention because he may have ascites with portal hypertension which causes abdominal distension. Kidney problem is less likely.
