What Does Abdominal Pain On The Right Side Indicate?

My mom is 88 years old she’s having pain in the right side of her belly. She has no appetite and vomits for a little food and drinks she eats. The doctor said she she had a swollen gallbladder and need surgery. I am worried about her BP is not stable she always have low oxygen levels and heart rate. Hello,

In most cases, the surgeon and anesthesiologist stabilize the person prior to surgery. This means that in your mother's case, they would alter the medication as necessary to control her blood pressure and would also administer additional oxygen as needed. Her oxygen levels and blood pressure would both be monitored by the machine during surgery so adjustments can be made. (there are meds that can be given iv to either decrease or increase blood pressure).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
