What Does Air Bubbles Being Noted With Fallopian Tubes Outlined Bilaterally Found In HSG Scan Mean?

I had an HSG scan last Friday. the results indicated that:

1. the outlined uterine cavity is normal wth no intraluminal filling defect.

2. a few iatrogenically introduced air bubbles are noted.

3. both fallopian tubes are normally outlined with free intraperitoneal spillage of contrast medium bilaterally. what does all these mean?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You have absolutely normal findings.
Uterus is normal with no lesion inside it.
Both Fallopian tubes are patent and there is free intraperitoneal spillage of contrast medium bilaterally.It is normal finding.
Few iatrogenically introduced air bubbles are noted,it is procedure related.Some times air get enter during injection of contrast and it is normal.
