What Does Antral Gastritis On An Endoscopy Suggest?

Hi, I have recently gone through endoscopy and H.pylori test and it was concluded that I have antral gastritis which is reported in endoscopy. But Could you please tell me a little about H.pylori test as the color of the stain turned pink which shows positive h.pylori . I am little worried if it was related to cancer. Is cancer detect in endoscopy as no ulcer shown in endoscopy. Kindly take me out of this horror.

Hi dear thanks for asking question.

Don't worry about cancer.

Endoscopically cancer if present can be detected.Cancer could be in form of ulcer or exophytic growth.Even if cancer present then it is detected by histopathological examination.here there is no chance of cancer.

Second it is not necessary that h.pylori always have ulcer. It can simply lead to gastritis like condition.so you have gastritis not ulcer.

So now take treatment for h.pylori by amoxycillin plus clarithromycine plus omeprazole.

Wish you good health.

Take care.
