What Does Black Patches On Colonoscopy Suggest?

Having 1-2 years if diarhea and nausea, family hx of colon cancer, my recent colonoscopy showed areas of black and white patches. They are similar to the bugs and larvae that our duct work for heating and air conditioning have been spewing out when turned on. Have you ever heard of this?

Hi,

No, I have not. You need to ask your gastroenterologist what he or she thinks it is, and start treatment if need be.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen,
General Surgeon
