What Does Blood In Nasal Disharge During Cold Indicate?

My 12 month old daughter is currently teething and has had a runny nose for around 4 days and today when she sneezed and snot came out there was a tiny bit of blood in it. Is this normal? And is it ok for me to give her teething tablets or oragel? I have her an appt with her pedi today but the weather is nasty and I don't want to really get her sick! Thanks in advance!
