What Does Burning Sensation In Bladder Or Urethra Suggest?
I have burning sensation in bladder or urethra, can't describe it. It almost feels like I have to go, even though I just went. I did give birth 8 weeks ago and felt fine up until 8 days ago. All cultures are negative and I am frightened it is IC (because I read the internet about horrible stories)
HI. Read the history and understood your problem. You have a problem for the last 8 days only, so this can just be a routine urinary tract infection causing the symptoms you have. Get a course of an antibiotic , urinary urilizer, plenty of oral fluids . you may be alright. IT is possibly not IC- Interstitial Cystitis. This is always confirmed by cysto-urethroscopy for direct visualization and confirmation of the diagnosis. Interstitial cystitis (IC) refers to a clinical syndrome characterized by symptoms including chronic urinary urgency (feeling the need to urinate immediately) and frequency (frequent urination). Pelvic pain may or may not be present.
So do not worry unnecessarily until the diagnosis is confirmed and you may be well treated by the routine treatment alone.
