What Does Burning Sensation In Upper Left Abdominal Area Suggest?

I have been complaining of slight burning feeling on my upper left area of the stomach since 2 months. Yesterday I did a USS Abdomen/Pelvis scan and found the following impressions: Fatty Lever, Left Renal Non Obstructive Calculus. Grade - Prostatomegaly. The report also mention my Prostate - Enlarged - 35 Gms. Calyceal System - Lower Pole Calculus - 6 mm. Left Kidney - 10.9 cm, R/Kidney - 10 cm. Rest of the things are normal. My Doctor opined that I have Kidney Stone. Could you please give me your diagnosis, and what medicines / precautions to follow hereafter. Thank you. Normen Jacob

Hello

Your findings suggests fatty liver, small calculus in left kidney and enlarged prostate.
Fatty liver is due to deposition of fat within the liver cells.
Fatty liver is a reversible condition. It usually reverse with treatment of underlying cause.
Fatty changes in liver may be due to many causes like obesity, sedentary life, hepatitis, altered lipid profile, metabolic disorder etc.
You should avoid saturated fat and go for brisk walk regularly.

Treatment of renal calculus depend upon many things like composition, position, size of calculus etc.
Small calculus may pass spontaneously with adequate hydration.
Drink lot of water and initially you may need syrup like sodium and potassium citrate.
You may also need routine hemogram, random blood sugar, urine RE/ME.
As size of calculus is small in your case,it is likely to be flushed out with hydration and sodium, potassium citrate syrup.

Enlarged prostate may be treated conservatively or surgically.
Initially you may need medicines like tamsulosin, prazosin for enlarged prostate.
You may also need PSA estimation to exclude malignancy.

Get well soon.
Take Care
