I have calcification in both lobes of my thyroid. They were found on ultrasound because of several months of wheezing, hoarseness, cough, and shortness of breath. I had treatment for bronchitis 4 times, with steroids and antibiotics to no avail. A pulmonologist said the wheeze, and shortness of breath, etc was in my throat area and not respiratory related. My oldest sister informed me that my mat grandmother had thyroid cancer, and my mother had a goiter. I ve had thyroiditis a couple of times, and have hypothyroidism that I take regular medicine for. I m now feeling physically ill on top of all the symptoms I mentioned above. It maybe an ear infection as I have pain in both ears, as well as neck tenderness. I m concerned if this is thyroid cancer, should I see a endocrinologist sooner than September. My symptoms are worsening, and now I have some crazy insomnia that is exhausting. All the endocrinologists that I have called seem unconcerned, wanting to schedule me for months away. Should I be unconcerned too? Sorry, can t afford to pay at this time. Thanks for your time.
