What Does Constant Pain In The Shoulders Indicate?

My right arm has a constant dullness pain on top of my shoulder, and on the shoulder blade. Throughout the day the portion of my arm above my elbow has pain sporadically. The pain is between the bone and muscle. I have difficulty sleeping at night because the pain increases, my arm feels heavier. It is difficult to get in a comfortable sleeping position. Several weeks ago, I had a burning pain go from my shoulder to my wrist as if hot oil was poured inside my arm. What is the diagnosis?

Hello,

I think you have a frozen shoulder. The muscles of the shoulder joint might have had a spasm which might have caused this pain.

An anti-inflammatory agent would be better in treating these types of pains. If still not subsiding, then you can take steroid shots under anesthesia and can get the range of movement correction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
