What Does Cramping And Nausea Indicate Despite Negative Pregnancy Test?

My period is about 2 weeks late, I have had cramping, have been throwing up, and have had a light pink discharge every now and again when I wipe after going to the bathroom. I have taken two at home pregnancy tests and both have returned negative. What could be going on with me??

Hi,
The home pregnancy tests should be taken at least 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample to read well. If you have performed the test in the proper way and the result is negative, then you may not be pregnant. The cause of the delay could be some hormonal imbalance secondary to some sudden weight disturbances, stress, infections or certain medications. You also need to have a trans-vaginal sonogram and urinalysis to clarify the situation after an examination by a specialist. Hope this helps.
