Hi. I recently had a brain MRI, which came back normal, but with a note, stating that a 1cm nodule was detected on my parotid gland, which may be indicative of a lymph node . I followed up with an ENT, who has ordered an MRI of my face, throat and neck, to further evaluate the mass. I occasionally have difficulty swallowing; other than that, I have had no pain or swelling, and the lump is not visible, nor can it be felt. How long does this type of MRI take, and, if the mass is found to be significant, how can it be removed in the most non-invasive manner possible?
