L4-L5 diffuse disk bulge with large central annular fissure. narrows bilateral lateral recesses and may contact traversing L5 nerve roots without definete impingement.
what does this mean?
moderate lower lumbar degenerationdisc disease with moderate central canal stenosis, mild bilateral foraminal narrowing and lateral recesses

Hello,

Your question actually needs detailed answer in premium category. A short answer would say that L4-5 disc is bulging out of place causing compromise of spinal canal through which back nerves pass, but at the moment there in compression of nerve roots, only the bulging disc is touching one of the nerve root(L5).
Even other intervertebral disc are also intruding in spinal canal.Hope this helps.Regards.
