What Does Elevated RBC Levels After Sulfa Treatment For Bladder Infection Indicate?

I am a 65 year old male. I just finished 15 day sulfa treatment for a bladder infection. A post treatment yearn test returned a WBC of 0-2, and a RBC of 6-10. All symptoms have gone, and a normal stream has returned. Please explain the significance of the elevated RBC. What are the likely causes?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have just slightly high RBC in urine test. It can be due to some residual infection. No need to worry. Just be relaxed. Repeat urine examination after a month. If you have RBCs then you should go for ultrasound abdomen once to rule out any cause of bleeding.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
