What Does Frequent Urination With Pressure In Pelvic Area Mean?

I have had frequent urination for the past two days. It feels almost like I have a UTI but it doesnt burn when I pee and I pee a lot of urin at a time. It just feels like I have to pee so bad it hurts and is a little tender after. My pee is clear and my back does not hurt. My pelvic area feels more like a pressure than pain.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Frequent urination is an indication of a possible infection somewhere in the urinary tract. Other symptoms that also point towards the same direction are:

-Less quantity of urine passed each time
-Burning sensation while passing urine
-Chills (not always)
-Itching around the genitalia
-Fever (not always)
-A general sense of poor health
-Dehydration symptoms (not always) and a few others.

From your query, I understand that you have had two recent episodes of cystitis, which indicates a recurrent infection or inflammation.

Recurrent infection or inflammation is almost always due to some underlying cause.

Unless this cause is found and addressed, the infection/inflammation shall keep recurring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
