What Does Green Discoloration On The Elbows Indicate?

Hi I have noticed a green discolouration of my elbows..That is to say the loose skin around the elbow Admittedly the area has been dry and crusty lately and I had taken to rubbing and scratching but then took no further notice. It causes no pain or irritation but it having been noticed by my daughter it could become unsightly. I am a 64 year old man with no previous health problems Can you advise a quick and effective home remedy or shall I consult my GP? Thank you

Please note that this discoloration is related to vigorous rubbing.

If the colour is fading, then wait for a few days.
